RUSSIA

At the National Stock Exchange (NTB) 220 tons of white sugar was sold on September 10, at a weighted average price of RUR 25/kg (basis Southern Fed. District) and 160 tons at RUR 24.50/kg (basis Centrak Fed. District). According to unofficial data, the whole volume of sugar was sold from Rusagro plants.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by October 10, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from an area of 710.5 thousand hectares or 60.4% of the crop acreage (in 2016 - 572.7 thousand hectares).

BELARUS

According to the National Statistical Committee, consumer prices for granulated sugar in the country decreased by 2.88% in September 2017, and from the beginning of the year (by December 2016) - by 3.4%. The average consumer price for granulated sugar in September was 1.67 BYR/kg. (RUR 49.25/kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).

KYRGYZSTAN

Consumer prices for refined granulated sugar decreased by 11.4% in September 2017; and in annual terms (by September 2016) decreased by 8.3%, according to the National Statistics Committee.

UKRAINE

According to the State Fiscal Service, for 7 months (January-July) 2017, the export of white sugar (HS code 170199) amounted to 407 562 tons, in the last month - 13,248 tons. The main importers of white sugar from Ukraine are Sri Lanka (41,626 tons) and Libya (37,640 tons). Export of other sugars (HS code 1702) amounted to 29,723 tons; the main importer of other sugars from Ukraine was the Russian Federation (11,490 tons).
