RUSSIA
The average consumer price for granulated sugar was 47.24 rubles per 1 kg in August 2017, which is 0.9 rubles less than a month ago, reports Rosstat.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by September 15, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from an area of 271.0 thousand hectares or 22.6% of the area sown (in 2016 - 229.9 thousand hectares).

According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia imported 20.6 thousand tons of white sugar in July 2017. Following the 7 months, the volume of white sugar imports by Russia amounted to 168.9 thousand tons (in 2016 - 188.3 thousand tons, in 2015 - 210.3 thousand tons), the main countries exporters sugar to Russia were Belarus (85.61%) and Poland (7.86%).
Russia has exported total 11.4 thousand tons of white sugar in July 2017. At the end of 7 months, the exports of white sugar from Russia amounted to 223.6 thousand tons (in 2016 - 4.0 thousand tons, in 2015 - 1.9 thousand tons), the main countries receivers of Russian sugar were Kazakhstan (30.70%) and Azerbaijan (30.11%).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to Statkom of Kyrgyzstan, the production of sugar in July 2017 decreased by -15.62% and amounted to 38.9 tons (in 2016 - 7.9 tons, in 2015 - 11.7 tons). Thus, total 32065.3 tons of sugar has been produced since the beginning of 2017.

According to Statkom of Kyrgyzstan, average consumer prices for sugar amounted to 58.58 KGS / kg in August 2017 ( down by0.97% vs. the previous month, +9.36% YTD and +3.87% by August 2016) which makes RUR 50.66/kg at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month
UKRAINE
Sugar beet was harvested from the area of 20 thousand hectares by September 15 with total 845 thousand tons of beets collected, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country reports.
