RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of 14 September 2017, sugar beet was collected in Russia from an area of 258.1 thousand hectares or 21.5% of sown area (in 2016 – 219.4 thousand hectares).

Shareholders of GC "Rusagro" approved dividends for the first half of 2017 in the amount of RUR 69.2 per one ordinary share or RUR 13.84 per GDR. Total, RUR 1.86 billion will be allocated for dividends.

UKRAINE

According to Ukrstat, as of September 11, 2017, the average consumer price of sugar in Ukraine was 16.16 UAH/kg (35.32 RUR/kg at the Central Bank exchange rate for the reporting day), which is 0.12% less than the price of the previous observation date 12 days ago. Over the year (since September 11, 2016) sugar has grown in price by 19.53%, in two years (since September 10, 2015) the price of sugar has increased by 38.71%. The highest prices are observed in the Lugansk region - 17.16 UAH/kg, the lowest - in the Kyiv, 15.23 UAH/kg.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, the import of white sugars (HS code 170199) from the EEU countries amounted to 112.9 thousand tons for 7 months (January-July) of 2017. 85 thousand tons from that volume was shipped by Russia.

The export of other sugars (HS code 1702) amounted to 8943.4 tons; imports – 3250.3 tons.
