According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated September 5, 2017, total 18 vessels have been nominated to carry 642020 MT of raw cane sugar in 2017 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 507110 MT from 14 vessels, based on data.


According to the Sugar.Ru monitoring data, Belarus shipped 7,0 thousand tons of white sugar in August transit Russia (1.3 thousand tons in August 2016). In just 8 months of 2017, the Belarusian transit of sugar amounted to 89.3 thousand tons (in 2016 - 5.8 thousand tons). The main recipient of the Belarusian transit sugar in 2017 is Kazakhstan - 39%.


According to Gosstat, in January-July of 2017 the total volume of sales of sugar produced in the country amounted to 6 372.5 million UAH without VAT and excise tax (about RUR 14 209 million at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), incl. sold outside the country – 796.3 million UAH
(about RUR 1,775 million).


In August 2017 sugar prices from manufacturers declined by 2.2%; and from the beginning of the year (versus December 2016) - by 6.0%. Consumer sugar prices decreased by 2.1% in August, and in annual terms (vs. August 2016) - by 0.1%, reports the National Statistical Committee.
