RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet in the country was collected from an area of 34.8 thousand hectares by August 18, 2017, or 2.9% of the area sown (in 2016 - 28.0 thousand hectares).

NCSP Group (Novorossiysk port) reports that the volume of sugar transshipment amounted to 205.7 thousand tons in January-July of 2017, which is 276.2 thousand tons or 53.7% less than in 2016.
UKRAINE
The estimated consumption of sugar by the population in 2016/2017 MY is expected at the level of 32 kilograms per capita. The internal consumption of sugar is estimated at 1 332 thousand tons in September-July 2016/2017 MY, and the sugar carryover stocks – at 257 thousand tons as of 01.08.2017, according to the calculations of the Economic Discussion Club.
BELARUS
According to the data of the Federal Customs Service of Belarus, imports of raw sugar amounted to 146.1 thousand tons in 6 months (January-June) 2017. Export of white sugar amounted to 250 thousand tons (in 2016 - 187 thousand tons), imports - 19.9 thousand tons.
