RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 11,1 thousand hectares or 0,9% of crop acreage as of August 7, 2017 (in 2016 – 11,6 thousand hectares); 518,0 thousand tons (in 2016 – 525.9 thousand tons) of beet collected at an average yield of 46.75 MT/ha (in 2016 – 45.25 MT/ha).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated August 8, 2017, total 16 vessels have been nominated to carry 578110 MT of raw cane sugar in 2017 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 352410 MT from 10 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
According to the State Fiscal Service, the export of sugar is 407,579 tons worth $ 200,111,000 during the 7 months (January-July) of 2017; the main importer of Ukrainian sugar is Sri Lanka (10.29%).
