RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture report dated August 1, 2017, total of 2.6 thousand hectares were harvested in the country; 118,600 tons of beets collected at an average yield of 45.91 MT/ha.

According to the rail cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, Russia has exported 9.6 thousand tons of white sugar in July 2017, which is significantly lower than the level of the last months, declining since October 2016. This is caused both by the increase in the price of sugar in Russia, and the drop in world prices for raw and white sugar.

UKRAINE
According to Ukrstat, as of July 31, 2017, the average consumer price of sugar in Ukraine was UAH 16.3/kg (RUR 37.46/kg at the Central Bank exchange rate for the reporting day), which is 0.12% less than the price on the previous date of observation (11 days ago). For the year since July 29, 2016, sugar has grown in price by 18.55%, for two years (since July 30, 2015) the price of sugar has increased by 37.79%.
The highest prices are observed in the Lugansk region - UAH 17.34/kg, the lowest - in the Rovno region, UAH 15.52/kg.
BELARUS
According to "Belsakhar", the dynamics of sugar beet development in Belarus as of August 1, 2017 has made average:
- The mass of the root is 348.7 g (2016 - 383.1 g),
- The weight of the tops - 530.4 g (2016 - 440.3 g),
- Sucrose content of beet - 11.88% (in 2016 - 12.77%). The increase in sucrose content over 10 days is almost equal to last year - 0.84% against 0.83%.
MOLDOVA
In January-June 2017, Moldova has used 56% of the quota for sugar exports - 20,800 tons out of 37,400 tons predefined by the quota. At the same time, 100% of the quota for imports of sugar from Moldova to EU (5.4 thousand tons total) was used at full.
