RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown on the area of 1187.1 thousand hectares or 105.1% to the forecast as of June 15, 2017 (in 2016 - 1.07 million hectares).
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Statistics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the import of the sugar group (HS code 1701) amounted to 44.13 thousand tons in April 2017. Total 105.46 thousand tons were imported for $ 56.28 million in January-April 2017, which is 79.6% compared to imports in the same period of 2016 (132.56 thousand tons). The main countries-suppliers of white sugar were Russia and Belarus and Brazil – of raw sugar).

UKRAINE
According to Rosstat, the average price for white sugar from producers was UAH 12,935.93/MT in May 2017 (RUR 28574.82/MT at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation). In April, the average price was UAH 12972.84 / MT (RUR 28656.35/MT).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the Statistics Committee, the production of sugar in the country amounted to only 21.7 tons in May 2017 (in May 2016 - 8264.9 tons).
