RUSSIA

Imports of sugar from non-CIS countries in April 2017 has amounted to US$ 18.5 million (+1.9% compared to April 2016), the Federal Customs Service reported. In March sugar imports from non-CIS countries has made US$ 20.9 million.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by May 19, 2017 sugar beet was sown on an area of 1152.8 thousand hectares or 102.1% of the forecast (in 2016 - 1.05 million hectares).

BELARUS

According to the Federal Customs Service of Belarus, imports of raw sugar amounted to 82.3 thousand tons in January-March 2017. White sugar (HS code 170199) imports has sharply increased to 9850 tons, almost the whole volume arrived from Russia, due to the drop in prices for Russian sugar In Belarus, exports data of sugar group (HS code 1701) is considered as “for official use” and is not published - Sugar.Ru
 

AZERBAIJAN

According to the Customs Service of Azerbaijan, exports of sugar amounted to 7.5 thousand tons in April 2017, and – 21.4 thousand tons in 4 months of 2017 (in 2016 – 21 thousand tons). Sugar and raw sugar imports has made 20.8 thousand tons in April 2017, and 103.3 thousand tons in 4 months of 2017 (in 2016 – 102.4 thousand tons)

UKRAINE

Sugar beet was sown at 309 thousand hectares by May 92, or 106% of the forecast (the plan is 293 thousand ha), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.
