RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1130.1 thousand hectares or 100.1% of the forecast for May 16, 2017. (In 2016 - 1.03 million hectares). In the Ryazan region, the sowing of sugar beets was completed; 7.5 thousand hectares were sown (102.0% of the planned volume).

According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia exported 94,6 thousand tons of beet pulp (HS 230320) in March 2017. Following the results of 3 months of beet pulp exports from Russia amounted to 245,7 thousand tons (in 2016 - 224,0 thousand tons, in 2015 - 139,5 thousand tons).

UKRAINE

According to the Lvov Committee on Statistics, the supply of sugar and confectionery products from sugar increased 18.1 times in January-March 2017, compared to 2016.
