Moscow Stock Exchange suspends trading shares of PJSC "Razgulay Group" starting from May 2, 2017 in connection with the recognition of the agricultural holding bankrupt.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by April 26, 2017 sugar beet was sown at an area of 695.6 thousand hectares or 61.6% of the forecast (in 2016 - 702.8 thousand hectares). According to Soyuzrossahar, by April 25, 2001, total 627.2 thousand hectares (53.9% of the plan) of sugar beet were sown in the Russian Federation (in 2016 - 701.7 thousand hectares).

The consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.1% in the period April 18–24, 2017; since the beginning of the year - decreased by 9%, Rosstat reported.

According to Sugar.ru price monitoring, in the period from April 20, 2017 to April 27, 2017, the dollar rate went up by 0.2% (on 20.04 - 56.18 rubles/$; on 27.04 - 56.31 rubles/$). The ruble Moscow wholesale price for sugar increased by 0.20 rubles per kilogram (+0.59%), the Krasnodar wholesale price went down by 0.30 rubles/kg (-0.91%). The US dollar wholesale price for sugar in Moscow rose by $ 0.002/kg (+ 0.33%), the wholesale Krasnodar price dropped by $ 0.007/kg (-1.20%).
Exports of Russian sugar by rail for a week have slowed slightly (see Diagram), so the final figure of April will exceed the March record, but, most likely, will not be much more than 50 thousand tons. Uspensky sugar factory (Prodimex) which is actively shipping sugar to Azerbaijan has not carried out export shipments since April 21, and the offer of sugar from the plant emerged in the domestic market.
The secondary market, watching the attempts to "swing the price", logically tries to buy at a minimum, so that the prices will hardly grow. However, with the current surplus, the attempts to retain favorable prices, is already a great achievement. The latest news from the fields indicates a delay in the development of agricultural crops for 10-12 days, if compared to the average dates in recent years. Nevertheless, large companies are beginning to think about the next season, trying to probe the market with forward proposals for September sugar.
BELARUS
As of April 27, 2017, total acreage of 72.6 thousand hectares was sown with sugar beet in the Republic of Belarus (75.6% of the plan), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus reports.
