RUSSIA
Biysk Sugar Plant( Altai territory), which was declared bankrupt back in 2016, is still idle and needs an investor, representatives of the regional administration has told.

NCSP Group (Novorossiysk port) reports that the volume of sugar transshipment was 31 thousand tons, in January-February 2017, which is 11 thousand tons or 25.2% less than in 2016.
MOLDOVA
Moldova plans to increase the sugar beet acreage, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. Quantitative indicators of the increase are not disclosed.
BELARUS
According to the plan of the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet sowing areas are planned at the level of 96 thousand hectares, production of sugar beet at 4.8 million tons in 2017.
