RUSSIA
The Group of companies "Rusagro" has produced 772 thousand tons of white sugar according to the operational results in 12 months of 2016 (in 2015 - 766 thousand tons), of which 713 thousand tons is beet sugar. Revenue of "Rusagro" from the sale of sugar has increased by 13% - to 13.5 billion rubles, the average consumer price - 39 rubles/kg, excluding VAT.
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine has produced 13,900 tons of sugar confectionery in December 2016 (-13.13% compared to last month and -7.95% vs. December 2015). Production of sugar confectionery amounted to 182 thousand tons from the beginning of the year (in 2015 - 188.2 thousand tons)
KAZAKHSTAN
According to data analysis published by the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan for 12 months (January - December) 2016, the trade balance with non-member countries of the CU looks as follows: the import of white sugar has made 78,500 tons (in 2015 - 148.7 thousand tons), the main suppliers of sugar were Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Poland and the Czech Republic. Exports were tiny – only 4.8 thousand tons – with most of the volume delivered to Tajikistan. Import of raw sugar has increased significantly, up to 350 thousand tons (in 2015 - 226 thousand tons), mostly shipped from Brazil.
