"Agrosnabsahar" (GK "Trio") raises sugar storage capacity of 60 thousand tons of finished products within the framework of the modernization of the sugar factory in Yelets; the completion of construction and the introduction of the facility is scheduled for September 1, 2017. Investment in the construction of silo for storage of sugar will be RUR 790 million. At the moment, the volume of 216 million rubles was invested. Daily processing of upgraded Yelets sugar factory is 10 thousand tons. By the end of the 2015 season the processing plant has produced 120 thousand tons of sugar. In the season 2017 it is projected to increase sugar production to 185 thousand tons. At the end of 2015 the construction of the first in Russia steam pulp dryer, which allows to receive 100% dry pulp, was started with the projected productivity of 450 tons of pulp per day;.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the wholesale price of sugar fell by 3.2%, retail - by 0.5% from January 10 to January 16, 2017.
UKRAINE
The price of sugar has increased by 7.84% in the period January 11-18 and is in the mid-range of UAH 14300-14600/MT (or RUR 31124-31777/MT). The reasons for price growth are weakening hryvnia, rising costs, the activation rate of sugar exports to foreign markets, media reported.

Representatives of China have completed an inspection visit to Ukraine to assess the state control system of production of beet pulp. According to the Ukrainian party, inspectors praised the level of control and operation of enterprises quite high.
