RUSSIA
FAS Russia Nizhny Novgorod has initiated proceedings for non-compliance with federal legislation the regulations of the regional government of subsidies for producers and processors of Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the monitoring of rail transportation data for 2016, Russia has imported 272 thousand tons (in 2015 - 268.5 thousand tons). The main exporter of white sugar to Russia is Belarus. The largest suppliers are Gorodeya and Skidel sugar factories – each 75.5 thousand tons.
UKRAINE
Olga Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy, reported that as of January 11, 2017 the quota for duty-free imports of Ukrainian sugar to European countries was used by 64%. The annual quota for duty-free export of Ukrainian sugar to the EU is 20.7 thousand tons.
KYRGYZSTAN
During the 2016 the national sugar production has increased 2.5 times due to growth of sugar beet harvest and JSC "Kaindy-Kant" sugar plant, for the first time in many years, produced sugar from sugar cane, a representative of the Office of Statistics reported.
