RUSSIA
Group of Companies "Rusagro" has completed the harvesting campaign. Yield of sugar beet has made 43.9 MT/ha (+ 22% in 2015), gross harvest of sugar beet - 4.3 million tons (+ 69% in 2015).

The average consumer price of sugar amounted to 50.38 rubles per 1 kg in November 2016, according to Rosstat.

According to preliminary data by Soyuzrossakhar, Russia produced about 5.75 million MT of sugar out of sugar beet harvested in 2016 as of January 9, 2017, which is 600 000 MT more compared to production volume in 2016. According to information available, taking into account the volume of sugar beet harvested, a number of factories will run until mid-February of 2017.
UKRAINE
By January 4, 2017 the Ukrainian sugar refineries have produced 2 million MT of sugar in current season, according to "Ukrtsukr".

According to the State Statistics Service, consumer prices for sugar increased by 17.8% from the beginning of the year, while in annual terms (December 2016 to December 2015) - decreased by 1.2%.

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in 12 months of 2016 the imports of sugar (HS code 1701) have made 47,062 tons for the total of US$ 19 700 thousand, exports – 465 860 tons for the total value of US$ 230 419 000.

BELARUS
According to "Belsahar", by December 30, Belarus sugar industry has completed the processing of sugar beet harvested in 2016. Total volume processed in the season has made 4.02 million tons of sugar beet (130% vs. the volume of the previous season), with over 590 thousand tons of white sugar produced (140% vs. the volume of last year season).

According the state statistics committee, the consumer prices for sugar decreased by 1.3% in December 2016; from the beginning of the year – increased by 37%, while in annual terms (December 2016 to December 2015) – 17%
