RUSSIA
According to Rosstat, in November 2016, the stocks of sugar with large and average wholesale organizations amounted to 84,245.4 tons. This is considerably less than in the past seven years. A possible reason for the low stocks of sugar from wholesalers is uncertainty in the sugar market and the expectation of wholesalers to reduce the price. However, low stocks in the wholesale trade do not give companies the opportunity to ride out the fluctuations in the market at the expense of own reserves, which makes the dynamics of sugar prices more volatile.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the wholesale price of sugar has decreased by 1.5%, retail - by 0.8% from December 13 to December 19, 2016.
TURKMENISTAN
The construction of foundation of the future of the sugar factory was started in the town of Serdar. The power of the future project - 120 thousand tons of sugar per year, the scheduled launch – year 2018.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, over 11 months (January - November) 2016 import of white sugar amounted to 77,900 tons from non-member countries in the CU zone, the main suppliers are Ukraine (21,700 tons) and Azerbaijan (17 300 tons). Sugar exports amounted to 4200 tons, with almost the whole volume shipped to Tajikistan. Raw sugar import has reached the volume of 330,000 tons, of which 305 000 tons imported from Brazil, the rest – from Cuba.
