RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by December 13, 2016 sugar beet was harvested from the area of 95.3 thousand ha (998 400 ha in 2015) or 98.6% of crop acreage. Bulk harvest makes 51.2 mln tons (37.9 mln MT in 2015) at average yield of 46.71 MT/ha (38.01 MT/ha)

UKRAINE
Since the start of the suspension of state regulation of food prices (from 1 October 2016), the sugar prices in the country have increased by 11.2%, according to Gosprodpotrebsluzhba.

From the beginning of the season the national sugar refineries processed 12.7 million tons of sugar beet and produced 1.9 million tons of sugar, according to "Ukrtsukor". During the first 11 months of current year, Ukrainian producers have already exported 335.25 thousand tons of sugar for total value of $ 166.8 million, which is three times more than last year – 114.8 thousand tons (US$ 46.7 million).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the Statistics committee, sugar production in the country amounted to 12,413.2 tons in November 2016. Thus, in January-November 2016 – 57,468.8 tons total.

According to the Ministry of Economy, there was a decrease in retail prices for sugar by 1.15 soms or 2.14% from November 3 to December 8 (1 som = 0.88 rubles at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Kazakh Agency for Statistics, the prices of sugar and sugar confectionery, imported to Kazakhstan in January-October 2016, have increased by up to 9.6% compared to previous year.
