RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the wholesale price of sugar fell by 1.2%, retail - by 0.7% over the past week. By December 9, 2016 sugar beet was collected from an area of 1.1 million hectares, or 98.4% of the crop acreage (in 2015 - 998.4 thousand hectares). Bulk harvest makes 50.9 million tons (in 2015 - 37.9 million tons), with the average yield of 46.60 MT/ha (in 2015 – 38.01 MT/ha).

From the beginning of the season JSC "Stavropolsahar" has received 627 300 tons of sugar beet for further processing, including 519 300 tons already processed. Sugar production yield makes 12.5% average from the beginning of harvesting season, according to the local Ministry of Agriculture.
BELARUS
According to the Statistic committee of Belarus, the local trade organizations have sold 118,800 tons of sugar and sugar substitutes (in 2015 - 124.5 thousand tons) in January-September 2016, of which the share of domestic production was 96.6%. Stocks of sugar companies to the end of September made 6 500 tons.
MOLDOVA
According to the statistic committee of Moldova, in the third quarter (July-September) of 2016 the country has produced 25 100 tons of white sugar (in 2015 - 12.2 thousand tons).
KAZAKHSTAN
In Karaganda, the antimonopoly activists have lost the trial against the major wholesalers of sugar. The Court found that the subjects acted independently, as their actions bear no synchronicity and simultaneity of raising sugar prices. Regulation has not entered into force and may be appealed or challenged at the corresponding institution.
