RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from the area 1082.2 thousand ha (or 97.5% of the crop area) by November 25, 2016.

According to the Federal Customs Service declarations, in October 2016 Russia imported 4.1 thousand tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the volume of imports of white sugar to Russia has made 38.8 thousand tons (in 2015- 47.0 thousand tons; in 2014- 92.1 thousand tons). In October 2016 Russia has exported 12.8 thousand tons of white sugar to countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the volume of white sugar export from Russia has reached 23.1 thousand tons (in 2015- 3.8 thousand tons in 2014- 7.0 thousand tons).

KYRGYZSTAN

Oversupply of sugar beet forces Kaindy sugar factory to export it to Kazakhstan. Capacity of the plant is designed to process about 400-450 thousand tons, but the farmers have harvested about 650 thousand tons, said the head of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund Kubanichbek Kulmatov.

UKRAINE

As of November 1, 2016, the manufacture of sugar beet in Kirovograd region for further industrial processing has increased by 29.9% compared to the same period last year, according to "Ukrtsukor".

The country has collected 12.7 million tons of sugar beet by November 25, according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Sugar beet was harvested from the area of 266 000 hectares, or 91% of the forecast; the average yield makes 47.7 MT/ha (vs. 42.4 MT/ha last year on same day).

BELARUS

Sugar stocks with the industrial enterprises amounted to 201.0 thousand tons by November 1, 2016, which is 105.7% more than it was as of October 1, 2016 reported statistic committee of Belarus.
