RUSSIA
"Russia in 2016 will produce about 4.8 million tons of sugar, of which almost 1.4 million tons will be made in Krasnodar", the vice-governor of Krasnodar region Andrey Korobka has claimed.

According to Soyuzrossakhar, by November 21, 2016 Russia has produced over 4.0 mln MT of sugar from sugar beet harvest-2016 and has piled over 36.5 million tons of sugar beet. This year the quality of the sugar beet processed is considerably lower than last year. Thus, the sucrose content and beet yield are lower by 1.80% and 1.76% respectively compared to previous season. The sugar factories have additionally produced 850,000 tons of granulated beet pulp and about 1.2 million tons of sugar beet molasses.

Sugar beet harvesting season is over at the agricultural enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod region by November 21 with 188,300 tons of sugar beet produced (130% of the plan), according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by November 21, 2016 sugar beet was harvested from the area of 1.0623 million hectares, or 95.7% of the crop area.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated November 22, 2016, total 38 vessels have been nominated to carry 1276100 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1118400 MT from 33 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
By November 21 Ukraine has produced 1.48 million tons of sugar (1.43 million tons last season). According to "Ukrtsukor" the producers have processed 10.08 million tons of sugar beet, which is 26% more than last year. Sucrose content has increased by 0.13% - up to 17.8%, sugar production yield has increased by 0.11% to make 14.85%.

Ukraine will produce about 2.2-2.3 million tons of sugar, Vladimir Palienko, CEO at "Ukrainian Sugar Company", has suggested. He predicted that about 300 thousand tons of sugar will be exported to Europe.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the EAEC, in 9 months of 2016 (January - September) sugar imports amounted to 37.20 thousand tons for total value US$ 18,470,000.
