RUSSIA

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated November 1, 2016, total 35 vessels have been nominated to carry 1182400 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1118400 MT from 33 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Mordovia, by November 1 the region has harvested 100% of sugar beet planted – 24 658 hectares; bulk volume collected makes 1,159,422 tons, with the average yield of 47.0 MT/ha.

According Soyuzrossakhar, the country has harvested 967.0 thousand hectares under sugar beet (87.1% of crops area) on October 31, 2016; bulk harvest makes around 44.0 million tons. The average yield has made 45.5 MT/ha. The volume of refined sugar produced from sugar beet harvested in 2016 exceeds 3.0 million tons.

UKRAINE

As of 31 October the country has manufactured 1.04 million tons of sugar (774.5 thousand tons as of the same date last year); the volume of beet processed makes 7.10 million tons, according to "Ukrtsukor". The forecast of "Ukrtsukor" for the national sugar production is at the level of 2 million tons in 2016/2017 Marketing Year.

The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union will remain at US$ 140/MT in November 2016. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the stock exchange "The ICE" in October was US$ 505.25/t, respectively, in December 2016 the fee will remain at the same US$ 140/ton.
