RUSSIA
According to Rosstat, the sugar stocks with the wholesale trade have slightly increased to 51,647.3 tons in August 2016 (+5.01% from the previous month, –33.57% for 12 months and -48.46% YTD). However, this has become the minimum volume of sugar in August since start of observations and monitoring in 2009. The previous low was in 2015 – 77 748.7 tons. Wholesale trade volume of sugar sold in August 2016 has amounted to 198,903.7 tons (+8.6% from the previous month and -33.11% vs. August 2015).
KAZAKHSTAN
Sugar factories in Taraz and Merken district began to receive the first batches of sugar beet harvest 2016. Total acreage to be harvested makes 5.7 thousand ha.
ARMENIA
The average consumer price of sugar has increased by 4.6% in September 2016 compared to the previous month, according to the statistic committee of Armenia.
BELARUS
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of October 10, 2016, the country has harvested 48.4 thousand ha of sugar beet crops (or 51.1% of the crop area). According to the Association "Belsahar" and as of the same date sugar institutions have processed 1380.0 thousand tons of sugar beet from which they produced 202.6 thousand MT of refined sugar.
UKRAINE
According to the national statistic committee, consumer prices for sugar in the country decreased by 0.4% in September 2016, and vs. September 2015 increased by 14.7%.

From the beginning of the season the sugar factories of Ukraine have received for processing more than 4 million tons of sugar beet and produced 494 thousand MT of sugar, according to "Ukrtsukor".

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the value of sugar imported to the country has made the monetary equivalent of US$ 58 thousand in September 2016. The total annual volume of imports exceeds US$ 19 million and is justified by the import of raw sugar in January 2016. Import of other sugars in 9 months of the year has made US$ 7 459 thousand, the bulk came from China and Germany. Exports of sugar for the first 9 months have made US$ 79,760 thousand; the main recipients of Ukrainian sugar are Georgia, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka. Molasses are mainly exported to the Netherlands and the United States.
