RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossakhar sugar beet was harvested from an area of 371.7 thousand. ha (33.5% acreage), as of September 28, 2016.

Due to recent heavy rain fall and, hence, high soil moisture, the harvesting operations were suspended in the Stavropol and Krasnodar regions according to "Kubansakharprom".

According to the Ministry of Agriculture update as of September 28, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 365.6 thousand ha, or 32.9% of the crop area.
BELARUS
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 31.4 thousand ha or 33.2% of the crop area (in 2015 - 31.2%) by September 28, 2016. The average yield makes 407.1 kg / ha (in 2015 - 271.6 kg / ha) with the sucrose content 16.91% (-17.51% in 2015). According to the "Belsahar", sugar plants processed about 950 thousand tons of sugar beet and produced about 135 thousand tons of white sugar by the same date.
KYRGYZSTAN
The average annual estimated need of sugar makes 155 thousand tons for the population of republic (according the standarts 25.6 kg per person) according to the project, developed by the Ministry of Agriculture. To ensure this amount, the acreage of sugar beet should be increased to 20 thousand ha in the Chui and Talas regions to produce 600 thousand tons of sugar beet (average yield of 30 tones / ha), which will provide the plants work for 3-4 months.
UKRAINE
From the beginning of the season the 32 sugar plants have already produced 300.3 thousand tons of sugar and processed 2152.1 thousand tons of sugar beet , according to "Ukrtsukor".
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the national Statistics Committee, the average retail price of sugar has established at the level of 268.43 tenge / kg (50.74 € / kg at the current rate.) on September 20, which is 4.8% lower than the price on August 20 (281.97 tenge / kg).
