RUSSIA
Program on stimulation of loans to small- and medium-size businesses has provided a guarantee to the bank VTB to finance the investment project of "Timashevsky sugar factory" (Krasnodar region). The loan volume is RUR 431 million with the loan interest of 11% per annum, according to the press service of SMEs.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture update as of September 20, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 289.2 thousand ha or 26% of the crop area (in 2015 - 296.3 thousand hectares). Bulk harvest makes 12.6 million tons (in 2015 – 12.0 million tons), with the average yield 43.49 MT/ha (in 2015 – 40.52 MT/ha).

UKRAINE
According to "Ukrtsukor" the rating of the largest exporters of sugar in 2015/16 Marketing Year (September-August) is headed by CJSC "Food company Podolie" - the volume of deliveries has made 21.72 thousand tons worth $10.52 million; at the second position – "Agrofirma im.Dovzhenko" (OP "Yareskivsky sugar factory") – 20.18 thousand tons ($9.03 million); and LLC "Novoorzhitsky sugar factory" is the third – 13.42 thousand tons of sugar for the amount of $6.06 million.

Ukraine has harvested 43 thousand hectares of sugar beet (15% of the total area sown) by September 20. Bulk harvest of sugar beet is approaching 2 million tons; the average yield is 45.0 MT/ha, according to "Ukrtsukor".
BELARUS
By 21 September, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 22.9 thousand hectares or 24.2% of the crop area (in 2015 – 21,6 thousand ha), according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. Bulk volume of beet collected makes 932.3 thousand tons (in 2015 – 576.7 thousand tons) with yields of 40.70 MT/ha (in 2015 – 26.74 MT/ha). Sucrose content in beet makes 16.65% (vs. 17.63% in 2015). In 2016 season the country plans to harvest beet from the area of 94.7 thousand hectares.
