RUSSIA

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated September 17, 2016, total 34 vessels have been nominated to carry 1160300 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 962650 MT from 28 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture report dated September 19, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 268.3 thousand ha or 24.2% of the crop area (in 2015 – 296.3 thousand hectares). Bulk volume collected makes 11.6 million tons (in 2015 – 12.0 million tons), the average yield 43.42 MT/ha (in 2015 - 40.52 MT/ha).

UKRAINE

By September 20, 2016 sugar beet was harvested from an area of over 38 thousand hectares or 13%. Volume collected makes 1.7 million tons, according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country.

According to the State Administration of Vinnitsa region, local farmers have harvested sugar beet from over dug over 8.7 thousand hectares, which is 15.9% of total regional acreage. Bulk harvest has made 431,300 tons of sugar beets, the average yield is 49.61 MT / ha.

Ukraine has produced 162.3 thousand tons of sugar from the beginning of the season and by September 19, according to "Ukrtsukor".

BELARUS

Grodno region has harvested more than 21% of sugar beet acreage with average yield of 47.06 MT / ha, which is 13.6 MT / ha higher than last year.

According to the statistics committee of Belarus, sugar production has amounted to 3,700 tons in August 2016. In the period January-August 2016 the industrial sugar production in the country has reached 259 thousand tons (11% more than in 2015).
