RUSSIA
According to the national Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan, farmers have harvested 608.5 thousand tons of beets from the area of 19 100 hectares (30% of the plan) by September 15. Sugar factories received 373 400 tons of sugar beet from the beginning of the season. The volume processed makes 257 400 tons with 34 100 tons of sugar produced; sugar production yield makes 11.6%.

Altai region has produced over 18.0 thousand tons of beet sugar from the new harvest. By September 16, the Cheremnovsky sugar factory has processed over 140.0 thousand tons of sugar beet and has produced 18 100 tons of sugar.

According to Krasnodar regional statistics department, the volume of production of refined sugar out of beet or cane in solid and liquid states has made 323 900 tons in the region in January-August 2016 (or 16.5% less than last year).
ARMENIA
According to information from National Statistics Committee, the average consumer price of sugar has increased by 2% in August 2016 compared to the previous month; on an annual basis (August 2016 to August 2015) the consumer prices increased by 4.4%.
UKRAINE
"Ukrtsukor" reports, two new sugar factories started the sugar production season: Horostkovsky sugar refinery (Ternopol region) and Shamraevsky sugar plant (Kyiv region).

In the 2015/2016 marketing year the bulk of the sugar produced (1 635 000 tons) was consumed by the domestic market. Exports of sugar have made 132 thousand tons last season, imports – 47 thousand tons. According to provisional estimates for the new 2016/2017 marketing year, sugar production is expected in the range of 1800 - 1900 thousand tons (25-30% higher than last season). Taking into account the carry-overs and the anticipated production of sugar, the offer volume will be 2 040 000 tons in current season, while domestic demand is 1 650 thousand tons of sugar; export potential is estimated at 115 thousand tons.
KYRGYZSTAN
Kaindinsky sugar plant (Chui oblast) has started to accept beets for processing. The total volume of sugar beet received makes 25 475 tons. In Chui oblast 10.8 thousand hectares are allocated for sugar beet manufacture (in 2015 – 5 048 ha). By September 14, regional farmers have harvested 575 hectares.
