RUSSIA
The value of sugar imports from non-CIS countries has made US$ 32.1 million in August 2016, according to the Federal Information System of Russia.

According Soyuzrossakhar, sugar beets were collected from the area of 138.2 thousand hectares (or from 12.4% of crop area) by September 6, 2016.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture’ report dated September 6, 2016, sugar beets were harvested from the area of 134 thousand ha (12.1% of the area sown).
UKRAINE
The total area of sugar beet harvested in Ukraine by September 6, 2016 has reached 5 700 hectares (or 2% of the forecast), according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. The volume collected makes 208 300 tons of sugar beet. The average yield of sugar beet in the country is 46.4 MT/ha.

From the beginning of the season the sugar industry has processed 221 600 tons sugar beet and produced 25,880 tons of sugar as of September 6, according to "Ukrtsukor".
