RUSSIA
Sugar mills in Krasnodar region have harvested 2 013 000 tons of beet, including 1 825 000 already processed with 217 000 tons of sugar and 51 400 MT of dried beet pulp produced as of August 23, according to the Ministry of Agriculture boundary.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beets were harvested from the area of 49 900 ha or 4.5% of the cultivated area in Russia by 23 August 2016.
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine has produced 17,100 tons of sugar confectionery in July 2016 (+6.21% compared to previous month and +3.64% vs. July 2015). Production of sugar confectionery from the beginning of the year has amounted to total 103 700 tons (in 2015 – 112 600 tons).

Ukrainian exports of water with sugar has increased to 12 466 tons in July; thus in January-July exports of water and sugar has reached 59 900 tons, the State Fiscal Service reports.

Dynamics of sugar beet development in Ukraine as of August 20, 2016, according to Ukrtsukor data:
- Beet weight - 440 g;
- Leaf weight - 313 g;
- Sucrose content - 16.2%;
- Plants density - 101 000 per 1 ha.
