RUSSIA
According Soyuzrossakhar, the volume of sugar production in Russia has made 520 thousand tons in August 2016, which is 113 thousand tons more than last year. According to the Association "Kubansaharprom", as of July 26, Tbilissky sugar factory (Krasnodar region) has started processing of 2016sugar beet crop.

Mr Andrey Korobka, the vice-governor of Krasnodar region, has informed that this season all 16 regional sugar mills will be launched to process beet. In 2016 season the sown acreage of sugar beet makes about 180 thousand hectares, which is 23 thousand hectares more than last year. It is expected to collect about 8.0-8.5 mln MT of beet locally and to receive about another 1.5-1.7 mln MT from Rostov and Stavropol regions.

According Sugar.Ru, today Leningradsky, Dinskoy, Gulkevichsky, Novokubansky, Novopokrovsky and Tbilissky sugar mills (all – Krasnodar region) have started the new season of juice extracting from freshly collected beet.
BELARUS
The stocks of refined sugar stored with industrial enterprises have made total 76 300 tons in Belarus as of 1 July 2016, which is 8.2% less than it was in stock on June 1, 2016, reports the national Statistic Committee.
KAZAKHSTAN
In Aktau (a city in the south-west on the shore of Caspian Sea) local prices for sugar have increased from 250-260 Tenge (RUR 47.6-48.6) to 300 Tenge per kilogram in a few days; in smaller shops the price a kilogram of the product climbs to 350 Tenge (RUR 65.27).
