Sugar prices grew after a long fall. Wholesale selling price of commodity has increased by 2.64% over the week and was in the range of UAH 12 400-12 900/MT as of June 30 (depending on quality and terms of payment).

"Astarta" company plans to increase the export of sugar to at least 50 thousand tons, and under favourable conjuncture the exports may reach 70 thousand tons, said company CEO Victor Ivanchyk. According to the officer, today the price of Ukrainian sugar is lower than the price at the London Stock Exchange.
CUSTOMS UNION
In July 2016 the duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union has reduced to US$ 205/MT. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the stock exchange "The ICE" in June was US$ 426.55/MT, respectively, in August 2016 the import duty will go down to US$ 140/MT.
