RUSSIA

"Agrosila" holding plans to collect a record harvest of 1.2 mln tons of sugar beet in 2016. According to the analysis of the FCS declarations conducted by Sugar.ru for May 2016, Russia has imported 2300 tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. At the end of 5 months the volume of refined sugar imports to Russia has made 18.6 thousand tons (in 2015 - 19.5 thousand tons, in 2014 - 28.7 thousand tons). In the period January - May 2016, the major countries – exporters of white sugar to Russia were Poland (56.85%) and Lithuania (20.53%), both supplying sugar to Kaliningrad region. The largest importers of white sugar in 5 months of 2016 are companies "Rostrading" (25.94%) and "Baltoptprodtorg" LLC (21.24%).

In May 2016, Russia has exported 100 tons of white sugar to countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 5 months, the volume of refined sugar exported from Russia has made 800 tons (in 2015 - 700 tons, in 2014 - 300 tons). The main countries importing refined sugar from Russia are Mongolia (32.45%) and Abkhazia (31.61%) in the period January - May 2016. The largest exporters of white sugar are "Znamensky Sugar Factory – Branch Zherdevsky" (22.80%) and "Raevsahar" (16.03%).

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in May 2016 Russia has imported 600 tons of raw sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. At the end of 5 months the import of raw sugar to Russia has reached 111,700 tons (in 2015 - 183.8 thousand tons, in 2014 - 300.2 thousand tons).

The main countries to export raw sugar to Russia in the period January - May 2016 are Australia (37.95%) and Brazil (32.23%). The largest importers of raw sugar for 5 months are the companies "Rusagro-sugar" (27.90%) and "Znamensky Sugar Factory – Branch Zherdevsky" (27.76%).

UKRAINE, POLAND, KAZAKHSTAN

In 5 months of 2016 season total 37 thousand tons of white sugar was delivered by rail transit the territory of the Russian. The largest volume sugar was provided by Ukraine (16.1 thousand tons) and Poland (8.2 thousand tons). The largest volume of white sugar was received by Kazakhstan (28.6 thousand tons).
