RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1079.3 thousand hectares in Russia as of June 16, 2016, or 101.8% of the forecast (in 2015 -. 1018.1 hectares).

GC "Rusagro" expects a significant increase in sales of sugar in 2016 following the purchase of sugar assets of "Razgulyay". Vadim Moshkovich, the group's largest shareholder, said: "Due to the fact that we bought additional three sugar factories (which will add approximately 40- 45% of extra capacity), we expect that the sugar division this year will show the maximum growth"

The Armenian parliament has ratified the agreement on free trade zone with Vietnam in the framework of the EAEC.
UKRAINE
In September-May of current MY, the domestic sugar consumption was estimated at 1183 thousand tons, according to "Economic discussion club" Exports amounted to 57 thousand tons, imports -. 46 thousand tons for the period mentioned. Sugar stocks estimated at 673 thousand tons as of June 1, 2016, which is 33% less than last year on the corresponding date.
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the average consumer price of sugar reached KGS 55.4/kg in May 2016 which is -1% from previous month, -2% YTD and +6% compared to May 2015 (KGS 55.4 = RUR 53.77 at current exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia).
BELARUS
According to the Statistical Committee of Belarus, sugar production in the country amounted to only 0.1 thousand tons in May 2016. In January – May 2016 the national industrial sugar production amounted to 149.7 thousand tons, which is 14% less than the same period in 2015.
