RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1076.6 hectares, or 101.6% of the forecast as of June 10, 2016 (in 2015 - 1018.1 thousand ha).

The wholesale price of sugar has increased by 0.5%, retail - by 0.5% in the period from May 31 to June 6, 2016, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated June 14, 2016, total 21 vessels have been nominated to carry 728900 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 526400 MT from 15 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 12 thousand hectares (97.2% of the plan) was sown with sugar beet as of June 14, 2016.
UKRAINE
The largest Ukrainian exporter of sugar this season (from May inclusive) look as follows: top exporter is CJSC "Food company "Podolie" (11.74 thousand MT), the second place is taken by the company "Agrofirma" im.Dovzhenko" at "Yareskivsky sugar factory" (11.16 thousand tons), "Khmelnytsky" LLC at "Zhdanov sugar factory" (5.72 thousand tons) closes the top three, according to Ukrtsukor.

The downward price trend prevails in the sugar market in Ukraine, according to "Ukrtsukor". On June 10 the wholesale selling price of sugar was UAH 12.25-12.50/kg (RUR 31.68-32.32/kg at the current rate of the CBR). On May 31 the price was in the range UAH 12.45-12.90/kg. (RUR 32.19-33.36/kg).
BELARUS
According to the statistic committee of Belarus, the average consumer price of sugar has made 15748 Bel. rubles per 1 kg in May 2016 (RUR 51.43/kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the statistic committee of Kyrgyzstan, consumer prices for sugar, decreased by 1.5% in May 2016 compared to the previous month, while from the beginning of 2016 the decrease made 2.5%. Year-to- date (vs. May 2015) growth has made 6%
